We believe the Bible is God’s word to all people. It is the Supreme source of Truth for Christian belief and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth, without error. It is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises.
We believe in one God, Creator and ruler of the universe, who exists in three distinct persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Having the same attributes and perfections, they are equal in power and glory.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that he was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, perform mighty miracles, died on the cross for our sins, experienced a bodily resurrection, ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God the Father as our high priest and advocate, and who will return to earth in power and glory.
We believe that Jesus Christ’s death on the cross is the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs when a person places their faith and trust in the death and the resurrection of Christ for the forgiveness of their sins.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make people aware of their sin and of their need for Jesus Christ. From the moment of salvation, he lives in every believer, providing understanding of spiritual truth, guidance in doing what is right and equipping and empowering the believer for service.
We believe that all persons are made in the spiritual image of God to be like Him in character. However, all persons are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin” . This rebellious attitude separates you from God until the relationship is restored through a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
We Believe salvation is a gift from God. We can never make up for our sin by self-effort or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ offer of forgiveness can we be restored to a right relationship with God.
We believe that humans were created to exist forever and that our Eternal Destiny is determined solely by acceptance or rejection of Jesus Christ. We will either exist eternally separate from God by sin or in Union with God through forgiveness and salvation. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. To be eternally separated from God is hell, and to be eternally in Union with him is eternal life.
We believe the church is the body of Christ, which Jesus is the head. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the entire world. We believe the church is to celebrate the baptism of Believers and the Lord’s supper.
We believe that the church is under command to go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the word and Daily yielding to the Spirit, every believer will mature to be conformed to the image of Christ.
